Guitarbizarre, you sound like one of those text-to-speech programs.
A REALLY LEGIT ONE.

I'm not really sure how to take this!

The high-tech, automated voice adverts of the future really dig it!

No pop shield though. My last one broke and I refuse to buy another flimsy one, so I'm saving for a proper one.
Audio quality was nice. I have a couple of mics floating around but generally use my Blue Snowball USB mic as its always plugged in.

I'm not exactly sure what to make of that.

Definitely. And it's exactly the voice I'd imagine the little robot at that top of the Vocaroo page would have if he could speak.

Your audio quality was pretty good too. I had heard your voice before in a video you posted, but I have to say I'm always a little surprised by what you sound like. You sound so much older than you are—which is definitely a complement.

Why thank you. That's actually a surprise to me, I suppose because the voice in my head is much deeper and older sounding than my actual voice, so when I hear it recorded I think it sounds super nasally and young.

I didn't mention it before, but you sound pretty much exactly like one of my uncles (of no relation.) Are you a Florida native, by chance? I remember you saying you lived there. I can't be sure, but I think he was either a Miami or Philly native who spent quite a bit of his childhood between the two areas. Perhaps that's the connection.

Nope, I'm a Boston native. I did live in Florida briefly in my early 20s but I don't think it impacted my accent much or anything. On the other hand I do think spending five years in Chicago changed my accent to certain extent. Philly, not so much. I was 29 when I first moved here so I think my way of speaking was fairly fixed at that point.
