Kind of... I really thought there was a Scranton NJ. Turns out it's in Penn. I'm geographically retarded though.

I find suburban culture to be utterly repulsive for a variety of reasons, so - yeah - I've quite the negative opinion of the state.
You don't have to like my state. I just don't understand that. I'm guessing you live in a major city the way your statement about suburban areas went. I'm not envious of NYC. I live in a town and area that has a population of 7,000 people. There are towns ten minutes away that has people that don't know where I live. I mention my elation to NYC because it gives people an idea of where I'm at geographically. That's what people who live in unknown little towns do. You can have as many negative albeit misunderstood opinions about New Jersey as you want but that particular one should be changed.

I've never known anybody that does that. Ever. That **** belongs to the small fraction of people who embody the pop culture's idea of people who live in New Jersey.

A small fraction of the people who what the whatnow?
It was a joke, son. Get off your cultural high horse - I have no interest in "the pop culture's idea" of your little kingdom.

And by the way, when I've been in New Jersey I've had friends who live and grew up there get calls or texts from their friends saying "I'm at your exit, should I come by?" and such. This has happened more than once. But now that I know better, I'll be sure to let them know that referencing their interstate exists is bull**** thrust upon them by the media.

Woah woah woah woah buddy. I think we have a wee bit of a misunderstanding on our hands. I was referring to the people who literally respond to the question "where in New Jersey do you live?" with a number. The situation you described with your friends is perfectly acceptable.

"I represent exit 63 bro."

That **** is what I was talking about. It's annoying and is only really used by "Jersey Shore" type people...which is all over MTV...which is pop culture...which is what I was referring too. I wasn't coming at you sir.

haha, yes definitely a misunderstanding. I wondered why you seemed so defensive about the exit thing - and I'm kind of out of the Jersey pop culture loop having never seen Jersey Shore (other than that clip of the girl getting punched in the face). I had no idea people actually rep their exits.

Peace to the Garden State. Also, for your experiment, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Greenwhich.
