From what I've gathered in regards to apples, its got something to do with the natural glucose of the apples that help kickstart your own internal glucose production which gives you natural sugar.

It has more to do with kickstarting your ATP production, which is a cellular energy unit that responds to increased levels of glucose in the body. Uptake is catalyzed by glucose being converted and transferred by ATP to cellular processes, which is known as glycolysis.

I use an alarm clock to wake myself up and then to stay awake i will listen to upbeat music. In case of emergency i drink a cup of tea (I hate the tase of coffee) and if that doesn't work. 5 hour energy shot.

I've been using those Emergen-C packets in the mornings this week and I've found myself to be far more awake around 8 am when I start working.

I usually set my alarm, force myself out of bed, then immediately start working out. Wakes me right up every single time, and I feel great for the rest of the day.

Caffeine works in a pinch if I'm pressed for time, but I tend to crash out after a while. With exercise, I feel fresh and happy.

Dayvan Cowboy 04-29-2012 09:28 AM

whenever I drink energy drinks I get a caffeine fever and jitters. I've never tried apples, though.

also, an unrelated note: My alarm clock is circuit bent so whenever it goes off it's distorted as all hell and I wake up screaming. Potentiometers are a glorious thing, and my parents regret ever letting me into electronics class.

Cup of tea, cigarette and a shower. Nicotine is an effective stimulant, and I heard tea has more caffeine than coffee (by dry weight).
