1) I'm saying you go out of your way to be fat. 2) To lose weight, burn more calories than you take in. Everyone can lose weight following this method.

You're an idiot. Some people just don't burn calories as fast as other people. Its called metabolism and if you had any shred of sense you'd know that some people just can't change diet and be instantly thinner, they have to exercise and ENFORCE a higher rate of calorie burning, otherwise perfectly reasonable levels of food intake can result in excess weight as their body converts calories efficiently.

Eating less calories then you burn off will result in weight loss for anyone. It's just a matter of how many calories that certain individual burns off a day. People have two choices: they can choose to eat at a calorie deficit, or they can eat at around maintenance and do some form of calorie burning exercise. Or if they want to combine the two, that'll work as well |

Overweight people should figure out how many calories they burn in a day, subtract 300 or so from that, and add in exercise. It's that simple, but people will make excuses all the live long day.
I struggled to gain weight for years, until I applied the exact opposite logic of what I said above, and it works perfectly fine. |

The first part of his statement is a ridiculous assumption that doesn't take into account any of the reasoning as to why people might gain weight WITHOUT being overly inactive or having a bad diet, which is eminently possible even when going about normal life, to say nothing of medical conditions that might contribute to the same.

Obesity has doubled since 1980, major global analysis of risk factors reveals Yes some people are genetically predisposed to carry more fat than others. This is no excuse. I was genetically predisposed to carry very little muscle and fat. I said **** it, I'm tired of looking skinny and weak, and I listened to the advice from people who knew what they were talking about and now I'm seeing results. I didn't make excuses that I was cursed with a certain metabolism or body type. It takes a lot of work, and some people would rather moan about what they were given rather than work to what they can achieve. |
