Call of duty, Medal of Honor, MGS, Resistance, Bioshock and the Batman games. I also enjoy Fifa and NHL for sporting games. I have a ton of games i'm fond of, I'm partial to first person shooters though.

Wow you weren't kidding, aside from Bioshock I hate all those games. All of them feel exactly the same to me. Ultrarealistic modern shooter with an arcade feel.

Edit: I almost missed MGS somehow, I love that series. I just hate FPS games.

It does seem we're into opposite perspectives with regard to games. That would probably be why you appreciate the more interactive format for gaming. I'm dying to play the new Bioshock when it comes out and i bought the updated MGS for the nostalgia purpose on ps3. I think its probably the one series of games that playstation has consistently done right.

Do you play FIFA online Fred?

And I am generally with Tuna regarding the kind of games I enjoy, other than the fact that I enjoy the HD aspect and far superior game engines.

(also apologise for being a d*ck on the other thread, was a slight tad hung over)

I'm surprised I seem to be the only one judging them by how good they were for their time.

I don't even factor in nostalgia when looking at PS2. Nostalgia for video games to me is N64 and Sega Genesis

I never have online. I'll have to setup an account on the network and get it rolling. I used to play the nhl online at a friends and it was a blast. Let you know when i'm setup, its probably my favorite game of alltime for sports games. I've been meaning to set up the account because there are a few downloadable only games i'd like to purchase.

It's all good, I actually felt bad about what I said in that thread.

PS2's more than 10 years old, it's verging on nostalgia for me at this point. First playing GTA III, GT3, and MGS2 is feeling more and more like a distant memory now.

For it's time, PS2 is undoubtedly the best, if only for how far ahead of the gamecube and xbox it was.

I think for me it's more about relating it to my childhood. I was behind in getting the new systems and I think I was probably in my teens when I picked it up. Not the same as playing Ocarina of Time and Goldeneye when you're around 10.

Agree with the PS2 being far ahead though. I thought Gamecube was a bit underrated though.

The Gamecube was great for me. Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, a good Mario Cart game and quite a few other gems.

Sega Saturn gets my nostalgic feelings going.

The Gamecube's controller may have actually been worse than the N64s.

In terms of narrative presentation it was pretty ahead of its time though
