For the record: I find all the Mayan stuff to be completely Bolshevik. I blame the character limit for the thread title masking my sarcasm on the subject

![]() I don`t hear anyone taking the prophecy seriously in the Mayan heartland either, though a surprising number of people visit the famous Chichen Itza pyramid for the Spring Equinox vibrations, when, at sunrise, you can see a serpent "crawling" down the stairs (on the left):- ![]() Nice idea that the Mayans planned it that way, but serious archaeologists aren`t convinced. In fact, the academic purists complain about a controvertial "restoration" of the pyramid that was done in the 1920s, after which the serpent effect was first noticed. Here`s how the pyramid used to look before they fixed it up. What do you think ? :- ![]()
