So, I think the problem you have is with people with this "syndrome":

It might be an indication that I suffer from it since I found the video really strange, but the problem appears to be that people overestimate their own capabilities resulting in the genuinely capable being demotivated and the incapable just as clueless and arrogant.
Sounds OK for a topic, although it took me a while to figure it out...
