Seriously? I have never associated shorts with sexual orientation before. I have, however, associated shorts with the weather. Once again I feel out of touch with society.

In order to play a role as polarizing as "The Dude", certainly. I'm sure it made him kinda uncomfortable, if he's anything like jaye davidson (the crying game) he immediately took off all his clothing as soon as the scene was finished.
