As Singles' Awareness Day approaches, our thoughts turn either to sloppy romanticism, or seething bitterness. So let's all forget about real love, and pretend we love each other by reverting to the childish tradition of passing out cheesy cards anonymously!

  • PM a moderator for the password to the anonymous account MB Love Machine
  • Login!
  • Write your secret note of admiration; heartfelt, cheesy, childish, whatever, and fire it off to whoever your heart desires.
It's tacky, but a fun opportunity to tell someone you think they're great when you might otherwise feel like a tool doing so, and a random act of kindness can brighten someone's shitty, lonely day.

Account will remain public until the eve of Feb 14.

We could also use this thread to relate our past Valentine's experiences.

When I was in highschool, I sent myself a candygram with a silly note to myself. When Valentine's Day came, everyone got their candygrams, but mine was missing. They lost it. I didn't even get the Valentine I sent myself.

That is the funniest sad thing I've ever heard.

Are you blind? That's clearly a picture of me.

Last year my mom gave me a card that read "To my number one daughter". I'm an only child. Even my mom thinks I'm forever alone.

In the first grade I tried to give a girl I liked a plastic bead ring on valentines day but while fidgeting with it when about to give it to her I broke it and slingshoted one of the beads directly in her eye.

Did you try to save face and just say: "Tough love, bitch"?
