AwwSugar wants a Smartphone! iPhone, perhaps? (Verizon Wireless)
Omg Sugar's back! Ahhh!
I'll try. Really I will. I'll try to make a couple more posts here and there! Anyway, here's my dilemma! I have Verizon. And I'm trying to get a smartphone. I want one with generally good reviews and one that's generally easy to use. Not too complicated. I'm veering toward the 16GB iPhone 4S but for some reason, I'm just not completely satisfied with that decision. I want something a little more fun. Something a little less mainstream than an iPhone, I think. If nothing else is a good idea, I'll just go with it, but I want to know if anyone has any suggestions! Figured you guys might have some ideas. Now, I'm really supper bad at making decisions and too much thinking about this gets me frustrated and upset, so don't confuse me. My budget is under $199. Unless the phone is super duper the best thing ever in the world ever. |

The iPhone is a great phone.
Only reasons not to buy one are 1. It's Apple, which is a **** company (at least overhere) 2. You have to use iTunes to manage your phone. And iTunes is probably the worst piece of software ever made. 3. Reallyreallyreallyveryexpensive. If you want a phone that's fun (as in games, fun apps etcetera) I suggest you'd go for an android phone. An iPhone may be better in some ways, but Android is growing really fast and there's tons and tons of free apps for Android. Another great thing about Android is that there's so many phones running it. You can get a Sony, HTC, Samsung, Motorola, whatever you like. They'll all run the same apps. I like the new HTC's. They're pretty sturdy and stable. I still have to run into the first modern day Samsung that has proper sound quality (by which I mean the sound the person you talk to is hearing). Motorola's are said to be quite slow compared to the others, Sony has had some really serious build quality issues lately. I'm not sure if that's been solved by now, you may want to check that out. I myself own a Blackberry 9700 Bold, which I like very much, but you can tell it's growing old and Blackberry really has to change their ways quickly. I wouldn't buy a new Blackberry right now. They are sturdy, amazingly quick and very intuitive to use phones, but they support next to no apps at all and they are too limited to really use them as a sort of tablet PC, which you can do with an android Phone or iPhone. Then there's nokia. I've always been a Nokia fan, but they kept using their Symbian operating system which was nice up till 2005 or something. When smartphones came, nokia didn't follow. I heard they got some phones running Windows Phone 7 and it's said to be quite good. Strange thing is... I don't know anyone using it. So... Pick one. I say, got with HTC. They were crap before, but every HTC I have laid my hands on was working better than expected.

Well the iPhone I was getting is like 199 or something like that. So the price wasn't too bad. It's just the simplest. And since so many people have it, I feel like I can trust it more.
The only thing is I was hoping to be a little different, you know? I wanted something a little more interesting. I've seen and used the iPhone, it won't feel new and different. And I HATE the keyboard. But reading the reviews and everything, it doesn't seem like I have much of a choice!! The HTC rhyme I wanted REALLY badly, but it gets a LOT of horrible reviews. And the Samsung Stratosphere I wanted, but it has a slide out keyboard that's a little hard to use. But the last Samsung I had worked so well, and it was fast, and it lasted me almost two years. Which is what it was meant to do, you know? I don't know. This is such a difficult choice!! |

I'd say the iPhone is best, having had one and lost it. If you're not feeling it hen then the Samsung Galaxy is a great smartphone, look into it. Its probably best after the iPhone . Welcome back mrs I missed you tons!

The iPhone man cometh, and I say NAY! Your faith is not the way forward, is not the way of man! Your faith is the way backwards, retreating and turning towards the devil! Begone with ye, o' foul fruit of eve's destruction and the fall of adam, take your serpentine words and flee this place, YOU, SHALL NOT, PASS!

GN I have no idea what you said but thank you BD and Kayy. <3 Love you both.
I'll look more into the Samsungs. What do people think about the Droid Bionic? It was looking pretty sexy at the mall kiosk today. |
