I would too if Superman wasn't the most uninteresting and lazy super hero to ever exist. On second thought, I still wouldn't see it because I already know the ending.

Wouldn't it be awesome if logos were honest?

Viktor Hertz is great designer. His movie posters are even better than the honest logos. :)

For anyone who hasn't seen it, this is great:

That's so good. The kid is pretty amazing to have thought not only about questions, but also responses, and call-backs. So good.

Well, I was getting tired of store-brand soaps, and although I always need to use Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo, I felt like I could be adventurous and try something other than White Rain, or some crap like that for the rest of my body.

I went to le Walmart and saw a red bottle... popped the cap and sniffed. Was awesome. Bought it. Also bought some old spice deodorant/antiperspirant.
Took me a shower this morning, and by the gods, it's 4:05 in the PM and I still smell like I just got out of the shower.

IT'S MAGICAL.

It's not a perfume smell so much as it's a fresh smell. Close up, it sort of smells perfumey, but in like a 1 foot bubble, it translates as fresh soap smell, which makes me feel fresher even when I'm leaking slime. No other body soap has been able to deceive me so effectively. It's a winner.

Goofle 07-12-2012 03:15 PM

Sold it.

This description has tempted me enough to head by and smell it. What time are you available? LOL HEH I prefer to smell clean rather then perfumey also.

And here I thought the only way for me to have Old Spice was to wait until I have kids and receive it as a gift on Father's Day.

I've always enjoyed that fresh out of the shower smell. There's a lot of fragrances that are meant to smell soapy, and so actually do smell like you just got out of the shower. Mugler Cologne is one such fragrance, and almost any Prada fragrance as well. I used to not be a fan of the actual Old Spice fragrance, but it's not bad. I use Gucci Envy, which has that same barbershop kind of vibe, but more modern.

The guy may have written hundreds of entire songs but would anybody want to sit through 12 minutes of his own little riffs strung together? No.
But almost 3 million people wanted to watch him do this.

Levi 511 black skinny jeans.

Holy crap, these are easily the most comfortable pair of jeans I have ever owned. These have like 1% spandex built in so they stretch just enough to encompass your shape, and not your shape fitting the jeans.

The 3rd time I tried pulling them up over my skinny ass the belt loops popped off (I've always slipped a finger through them while pulling any pair of jeans on - never had a problem in over 30 years of jeans wearing experience).

WILL NOT BUY another pair of Levi's :soapbox:

Huh... that's really shitty, you should definitely expect more quality from something that generally costs $60 American dollars. I can't say I fear my pairs will do the same thing, they've been through the wash twice now and they haven't even begun to loose their colour yet, let alone feel like they're beginning to fall apart.

Agreed, got a full return / refund / swap at the store I picked them up from. Didn't bother getting another pair of Levi's though, I've never had a pair of jeans end up that weak ever, must have been the one pair that slipped through QA or something haha

I am fed up with my son and these skinny jeans!!! (Original) - YouTube

LoathsomePete 07-28-2012 12:29 PM

Huh... I see the "try them before you buy them" philosphy of shopping is of a product of a bygone age, and as I said, the pair that I bought have some spandex in so they form to your body rather than your body forming to fit them. If I were to buy one of the other colours that don't have that spandex stretch I would probably be in a similar situation like that poor kid.

FETCHER. 08-02-2012 06:02 PM

I hate stores with expensive denim jeans. They seem to think that no women need more than 28-30" in the leg. The cheaper more high street shops are excellent. Levis are much cheaper in America than here I'm sure. What does $60 work out to be roughly?

LoathsomePete 08-02-2012 06:22 PM

About 40 quid.

That's about how much I pay for jeans from a random shop. I'd be paying double for a pair of Levi's. :(:(
