Pretty, but most likely sounds like crap. Most of the bling guitars do based on every single one of them I've had the chance to own for a bit.

I ordered this and waited 18 months for it and I ended up selling it about a month after it arrived cause it sounded like a wet blanket.

So much BS as far as the unexplored comment goes. Tons of great music has been made using crap guitars.

But...

If I'm gonna spend upwards of $4K on a fiddle it better sound decent enough to be pleasing "most of the time", otherwise it's gone.

I meant people generally don't make guitars sound bad on purpose. I'm well aware of how awesome they can be.
