Uhm, how's he getting such clarity playing behind the capo? Love how he messes up and slaps his head.

But the capo would be choking off the string vibration before it could get to the pickup numb nuts.

Huh? Right around the 30 second mark when he starts playing on the lower frets (behind the capo) those notes shouldn't sound nearly as clear as they do since the capo would be choking them off - unless the tension on the capo is super light.

Those are 14 fret notes, he could be playing that without using his left hand at all. Listen to it, it's only three notes and a pinch.
