I had a nice low-key New Years Eve with a few of my closest friends. It consisted of us lounging around with cans of beer and watching Jools' Annual Hootenanny on the telly. At midnight we lazily raised our cans and offered each other a very unenthusiastic happy new year. Not long after midnight a few others arrived and we started to have more of a party. Out came the joints and Jack Daniels and we drank and smoked well into the small hours. It was more fun than being stuck in a packed, sweaty nightclub.
I'm so glad 2011 is over. Last year was probably the bleakest and most depressing year of my life, it was like walking through a dark tunnel with no sign of light at the end and nowhere else to go. Eventually that light did come and the year ended on a high for me. I'm looking forward to 2012 now and I know this is going to be a good year as long as the world doesn't end, hur hur. So a big HAPPY NEW YEAR! to everyone on MB

Well, me and a few friends gathered at another friends' awsome house. Lots of great food, lots of laughs. Then, while I was riding a quad bike with a friend of mine, a dog got in my way, I tried to go around it, lost control and the bike turned over. Thankfully she was all right, I don't think I could live with my self if she wasn't.
Fortunately, we managed to continue enjoying the night. Well...Happy New Year! |

2011 can eat my dick. C'mon 2012 show me some love!
I have a very low key night last night that consisted of tea (I'm sick right now), marijuana, beer (I chose to not partake in the beer), Scrabble, and Munchkin. |

I'm having a pretty happy new year so far. Haven't thought about having a drink today and it's going well. I hope I can keep it up.
I feel good and cleaned the apartment with energy to spare. Going shopping later for some foodstuff, so I'll think about getting into some fancy cooking to keep me occupied. Might actually start reading some books and getting away from the computer more. I didn't exactly make a new year resolution of all this, but I felt like if there was a time to start making alterations to my lifestyle, now is as good a time as any. Happy new year!

Fortunately it has been. Last night I drank for far more positive reasons. |

2011 wasn't my favorite year. I was laid off for the first time in my education career due to budget issues. I worried all the way til June when I got hired at a new school. I'm thankful for that, and hopefully they rehire hm. Furthermore, my wife and I moved to her parents for the summer and I worked with her dad. It was a blessing, but it sucked living in a room. It was a tough year, but not as bad as it could have been.
Here's to 2012 being a good year. This is my wife's last semester in college, so hopefully our move in March or April goes well. Also, hopefully she can find a job quickly. She/We have six months to start paying off her loans. |
