I don't particularly like using them but I'm not disgusted by hearing them, and I don't refuse to use them if I'm say, quoting something. Plus faggot is such a common insult around here that you get into the habit of using it, whether you like it or not.

If a black man can say a word and a white man can't, it's racist. That's why I think n*gga (I wouldn't normally censor it but a lot of people hate that word and I totally get that) either has to go away from use with everyone, or accept a less hostile tone. And no, saying it's not the same word as n*gger doesn't count, because they are the same word phonetically.

F***** is now used outside the context of somebody being "gay", rather, they are just acting like a d*ck. But I understand that it is harmful that a word that is also associated with gays is used as a generic insult with that association in mind.
Edit: Not the best written sentence I have ever produced

That's kind of (big emphasis on kind of there) what I was getting at. My sister only recently realised the association with gay people, as she thought it was just a standard 'you're a total nob' insult rather than a homophobic slur. Really, the only people who use the more traditional meaning for it are those homophobic groups that are thankfully in decline. That still doesn't make the word a 'right' one to use, but it's better for you to insult someone with it rather than use it to try and make them feel shitty about their sexuality.

So you're saying that excluding people from use of the word due to their race isn't in any way racist?
