For some reason throughout all of high school my best friend thought boy kisser was a good insult. The phrase itself is extremely alienating and unsettling.

It annoys me the way loads of people will use the word "gay" as an insult in general. It makes as much sense as making fun of people with ginger hair and using that as an insult.

General phrases -

"Fairy" - As in "You bloody mincing fairy" - General insult meaning camp gay. Not particularly strong, can be used jokingly.

Bollocks - The worlds most perfect testicle related slur.

Wanker - Everyone says it, but only the British say it RIGHT.

"Berk" - As in "He was such a berk" - Idiot, moron, generally used against people in positions of mild authority like traffic wardens and unhelpful store managers. Carries an undertone of feigned or imagined competence from the other party.

"Pillock" - As in "You ****ing pillock" - Generic insult. Used far too little these days, though I'm trying to bring it back, because its awesome and you can inflect it so well. Youuuu PILLOCK!

I love that last one. Always spelt it "pilloch" though. Really should use it more often.

^ This word is fairly mild today, but originally it must have been a lot stonger as I believe it comes from Cockney rhyming slang and the once famous Berkshire Hunt.

Just as "Have a butchers" is derived from Butcher`s Hook = Look
"What a berk" is derived from Berkshire Hunt = C**t

I like "Smeg head" from Red Dwarf but I can't say I've ever actually used it as an insult. Also "Flip you melon farmer" from the TV version of Repo Man.

Where did "Bint" originate?

I honestly really like saying "gay" as an insult. No offense to the gays, it's just an awesome insult. The way i think about it, gayness isn't bad, it's just that straight people don't like to be called gay.

I absolutely abhor "gay" as an insult.
