What an old hag I am. Been here 6 years now this month. Had some periods of MIA but yeah what a great run it's been! You guys don't realise that nothing really changes, other than the members. Music Banter fluctuates in terms of post quality and quantity but it's always good. I remember I was on dial-up when I first joined and I used Hotmail BAH!

As of November 1st I've been here for 7 years... That's actually ridiculous. You're right though, nothing's really changed.

Not really, no. I don't mean to come across as a miserable fuck, but you have to wade through a lot of elitism, stupidity, ignorance and completely inane bullshit to find good posts - for me that's always been the same.

These 'good' posts are worth sticking around for though, because there are some really cool, knowledgeable people here, and that never changes.

Stu's always been a pillar of lucidity for mb, and I wholeheartedly agree. I remeber when actually contributing to intelligent musical discussion was the point of coming here, and happened daily. I mainly use mb now as a source of humor, and a chance to insult those members who prove themselves arrogant, dumb, or who don't have anything valid to contribute.

I'm still a newfag, right? It's interesting to be the new guy in a forum, especially one this size. The oldest one I was on before this had about four years of history, and pretty much every member for the first two of those years had gone AWOL. Well done to all the oldies here for sticking around, it's pretty impressive.
