Waitasec, you're a starcraft person?

Good work, always nice to get some recognition. Debatable choice of headwear though haha.

Haha, nice KL!

What is this event though? People go and watch other people play video games?

It's a Major League Gaming event

All the professional gamers come out to it , like the ones that get sponsored and things of that nature to compete.

Is this something people pay to see? Watching someone play a video game strikes me as pretty boring.

Oh , I've never attended such an event but I know ESPN broadcasts some of them.

I guess Klogic can fill you in on the pay part.

They have a Pro circuit and tour all over the country going to different places. Mostly big cities: NYC, Las Vegas and I think they stop by LA as well.

Yeah that's kind of an unusual concept. I'm not into games though, so I don't know a damn thing.

yes, yes! And yeah, it has the biggest learning curb ever. Keep trying! Once you start to get it, super validation

It has actually gotten to be much more of a big deal in the past year. Forbes and The New York Times have both done articles on it at this point. And I know it sounds silly, but watch at least one well-casted match and you will be hooked. I know a lot of girls who initially stick their noes up at sc2 that got hooked after watching a few games.

The live tournaments are popular as you get to meet a lot of the players and watching the game with a bunch of other people is like watching a football game live-- the tension, the drama, the upsets, all of it is there, it is just a different sport.
