I do a little bit. Only in a good way, like if someone has a really varied taste in music i'll consider them quite open minded and my first impression of them will be really good. This is not to say that those who only like one genre I think of as stupid or narrow-minded, in that case I'd still talk to them and form an opinion on them from some of their other conversation topics or other qualities they might have, ie humour.
I guess it sounds quite bad, but first impressions have to come from somewhere, everyone makes one when they meet someone. And if you meet them on a music forum your first impressions of them are likely to emulate from such things as their musical taste.
