Sorry, I should have explained better.
All those Romany words were absorbed into the English language, initially as slang.
e.g. The Romany word for young boy is Chavvi.
The abbreviation of the word borrowed as English slang is, Chav.
Same for the others I listed.

A chav is kind of a more clothed and paler version of our guideo. Replace Ed Hardy with lots of burberry and you're there.

Well sort of, burberrys out for neds and chavs. It's more lacoste, adidas, henleys, gio goi, skip hats, trainers and bottles of buckfast drinking down local park. Well nowadays anyway. They also usually talk in an over exaggerated accent here, to the point of not understanding them.
