Best Pub Names Ever
Doesn't have to be just pubs, it can be any type of drinking establishment or restaurant with an odd or quirky name.
Most pubs around the Midlands seem to have pretty crap names, but I still remember one of my favourites from a trip to Somerset last year, The Rat and Trumpet. I guess the owners just put two random objects together and said 'that'll do'. I hear the manager's planning on opening another bar called The Screwdriver and Hitler. And of course there's the classic 'The Jury's Inn'.

Yates Wine Lodge. Not really that funny on its own, but the name suggests a classy bar with a pleasant atmosphere... instead its chav central with wall to wall piss-weak-beer drinkers.

Divot's Bar & Grill
It's called "Divots" because there's a golf course across the two-lane back top. Mind, this is a golf course in one of the poorest counties in Missouri, and it too serves beer, and the locals (my neighbors) usually go there to get wildly drunk, tear around in golf carts, and tell obscene jokes that would make Mel Gibson blush. ....but, I lose myself. This bar is located in a single wide trailer, tin roof and all, the pool tables and shuffle board are warped, and all beer costs $1.50 - with selections ranging from Budweiser (high end) to Beer 30 (which is cheaper than Natty), and it has a variety of malt liquor including Camo & this strange **** called "Joose" that turns your vomit the colours of the rainbow. ....so, what's so great about the bars name? The goddamn locals pronounce it "Devo's", and I think that is about as hilarious as it gets.

The best pub name I've come across is a place called The Deadman's Inn, just outside Dublin on the M6. Badass.

I wanted to try get work in a bar recently and have no experience so I decided to invent a bar I worked in before. I named it The Molehouse. No questions ever!
