I'm older now, than Maddox was when he began writing those. It's an interesting perspective. Just the musings of a college age kid. I still got multitudes of real LOLs out of this site. I bought his book Alphabet of Manliness. It was worth a read in the store, but I reckon I liked the guy enough to buy it.

Last years implementation of youtube segments was a nice thought, but I think he knows nobody wants to see his ugly mug. The commentary works when you picture his avatar, not his face.

Oh man, the Maddox site. All through middle school and most of high school I remember being in computer classes and reading that site and laughing my ass off. Me and my buddies loved that site, it was hilarious. Once he started diving into the youtube-video thing and the book thing, he became a lot less funny to me. His videos suck. I didn't read the book, but once he started with that project he stopped updating the site. And just seeing and hearing him ruined the perception I had of him as some sort of badass who would shut anyone down. Now he's like the guy who gets pushed around in real life arguments but would run home to his blog and post his argument. I don't know, maybe I just grew out of it or something, but that site used to be damn hilarious. Reading the old archives is still pretty funny though.
