Default I want to write a blog

Not necessarily a MB blog, just a blog in general. Anyone got any tips? I was thinking of doing an all round entertainment reviews blog, games I play, music I hear, tv shows I watch... that sort of thing, because of course in my eyes my opinions are far more important than anyone else's, and should be documented accordingly.

Wouldn't Twitter work just fine for this? Your opinion on your opinions is duly noted.

why would you need tips if your opinions are far superior than everyone else's?

Good point. Chuck perhaps the Twitter account is holding you back from taking over the blog world. My award winning blog can't be touched just saying.

Tips on blogging in general, not tips on what opinions to have. Think of this as a general blogging advice thread, rather than a 'help Chuck with his soon to be failed attempt at blogging' thread.

@FRED HALE SR I tried to get into twitter, but stopped tweeting unless I was bored or on the toilet, and slowly my followers numbers dwindled to just close friends that tweet and spambots. I only follow sports people now (player and journalists mainly).

I was thinking of using the google one. Google pretty much owns everything else I use online.

Perhaps you should do a test run and save some files. That way you can determine whether you have the necessary skills to go toe to toe with the blog specialists of the planet.

I heard there's already this guy named Perez Hilton that's doing weblogs. He beat you to the idea.

I would pick a specific topic to do a blog on, so that you can go more in depth into the subject matter, rather than posting generic info and topics. State your opinions bluntly and don't flip-flop. The best blogs are by people who are hard-headed and stubborn about their ideals.
