I imagine Canada and America to have the same kind of hatred towards each other as Scotland and England. The given being that Scotland is superior.

I grew up less than mile from the border and I love Canadians, except for Maple Leaf fans.

Not really. Basically Canadians are nice and Americans are assholes. So, for whatever reason, Americans make fun of Canadians for being nice.
