Default Real World Disagreements Settled Here

Sometimes in life you have a disagreement with someone that you just wish you could put to a vote with the person on the street. Well here's a place for you to do exactly that!

The idea is that this thread would work a little like the album wars thread. We'll tackle one disagreement at a time, collect votes during a certain window of time, pick a winner, then move on to the next disagreement. If you have a disagreement suggestion please PM it to me so we can keep the thread from getting confusing. Also, let's try to keep this somewhat light-hearted. No serious moral dilemmas please.

I'll kick this off with the one that inspired me to start the thread: Generally speaking, on a sunny day, are people across the street able to see through the upper level windows into your house if all your lights are off? I say no. The person I had this disagreement says yes. What do you think?

Yes, people can see in: 0
No, people can't see in: 0

Generally speaking, no. If not much light is coming through and out of the window from inside the room (lights are off), then the light coming from that window is mostly light reflected from the outside surroundings. In other words, on a sunny day looking at the window to a room with the lights off, you'll see a reflection and not in.

At night if the lights are on, most of the light coming from the window will be coming from inside the room and then people can see in.

Yes, people can see in: 0
No, people can't see in: 3

No idea. It isn't "directed" at anyone.

It's NOT directed at you. Somebody is way too sensitive to be using the Internet.

Anyways, no people cannot generally see inside your windows during the day. Especially if the sun is reflecting off the window in question.

No, people can't see in: 4

anyway, going back to the question, i voted yes, pleople can see in so thats 1 point for me. why? well if it's a sunny day, then it's what's outside your house that is with light. and if inside your house has lights off, technically light from the outside will pass thru inside the window.

by the way, for everyone's info, lights can pass thru windows. unless you cover it with a curtain or you have a wooden window but nontheless, light can pass thru a window.
