What I would like to know Jansz were you expecting different results? Are there another combination of names one would have for those three towels?

Bath Towel
Hand Towel
Wash Cloth

djchameleon 04-26-2013 04:06 PM

face towels are slightly larger than wash cloths but okay I see someone using it that way.

Shaquille Oneal for sure.

djchameleon 04-26-2013 04:09 PM

He'd probably need to use the hand towel as a wash rag

Well, I didn't want to bias the answers at all so I left it totally open. But I will say, so far I'm winning my real world debate by a landslide. :)

That's cause you have small balls.

Freebase Dali 04-26-2013 04:45 PM

The big one is a bath towel.
The little one is a face towel.

The medium one is the only towel left when you've forgotten to run the laundry and are reduced to inefficiently drying yourself off with after a shower.

I have one to throw at you guys. I have had an ongoing debate all week with a buddy at work. Carburated or EFI in regards to enjoyment, power, and drive ability. Personally I love Carb, I dont like putzing around with EFI and I like how it feels to drive.

But what's the argument? If you'd said "my mate thinks the top towel is for your face but I say for your hands" or whatever, but there was no conflict described, just what are these towels? Sure, it's your thread and you run it as you see fit, but your own quote shows up the logic of the towel question, ie there is no choice, just a question. If you want to do it that way fine, but that's not what you said in the OP, which, oddly, you've quoted as proof it does...? Maybe I need to lie down...

The disagreement is what each of the three towels are called and what they're used for. I've intentionally avoided any more detail than that so as not to bias people's responses. Since it's not a yes or no question, I've asked it in more of an open ended fashion. I'm not really seeing how this conflicts with the OP.

Ok my opinion is based on upbringing. The big towel is for your body, the middle towel is for your hair and the little one is for your face. :)

The Batlord 04-27-2013 10:57 AM

Big towel: For humans.

Medium towel: For midgets.

Small towel: For Smurfs.

Trollheart 04-27-2013 01:12 PM

OK then I misunderstood the idea. I thought, from the OP, it was that two sides of an argument were advanced and we had to choose. Since that didn't happen on this one I was a little thrown and thought it was outside the rules you had set. Still, as I say it's your thread so you do as you want.

On an aside, anyone interested in my cats vs dogs thing? Any ... one....?

Dogs are good for people who like to walk outside and pick up shit, and cats are good for people who like to stay at home to cuddle and scoop out litter boxes.

Trollheart 04-27-2013 01:46 PM

Oh --- kayyy.... But, the point is, do you have to love only one? Can you not love or at least like both? If you love dogs do you/must you hate cats, and if you love cats do you hate dogs? Personally, I love both. Am I the only one?

Oh I misunderstood, haha! Of course you can love both, and all other kinds of pets at the same time. I love both cats and dogs, would love to own one of each but I'm allergic and I get asthma from cats. :(

Janszoon 04-27-2013 02:48 PM

One debate resolutely at a time folks, as per the OP.

djchameleon 04-27-2013 02:53 PM

There are specific reasons why people like one or the other but there are plenty of pet people that just love any kind of pet they can get their hands on.

Personally, I've had both cats and dogs. I just tend to prefer cats at the moment but if I was to get a dog maybe after I moved it would be a Scottish Terrier because I've always wanted one with their grumpy looking faces. One thing I never understand though is how people find pugs cute. They just seem straight up ugly to me.

Heh. I think you missed my whole reason for quoting the OP earlier. The bolded is the pertinent part:

We'll tackle one disagreement at a time, collect votes during a certain window of time, pick a winner, then move on to the next disagreement. If you have a disagreement suggestion please PM it to me so we can keep the thread from getting confusing. Also, let's try to keep this somewhat light-hearted. No serious moral dilemmas please.

Many of discussions/arguments have been had over this one. So I thought it would be good for this thread.

Of course, it's about the bathroom again.

Do you HAVE to keep the toilet paper on the holder and if so which way does it have to be loaded over or under?

Why does it have to be loaded the way that you think it should?

I can't believe people are so anal (pun intended) about things like this. I don't even wipe most of the time.

I vote for over mainly because you can see the end for easy access instead of having to roll it to find the end. That way you only have to touch the end you are ripping off instead of the whole roll so hygiene wise it's a better option.

Sh*t. This is one that actually bothers me.
Over. OVER. Every time it needs to be over.
It is the only logical thing.

Burning Down 05-27-2013 04:26 PM

TP has to be OVER. No question about it.

Paedantic Basterd 05-27-2013 04:44 PM

OVER. Why is this a question?

Because people always put it under. Cleaning ladies, in particular. At my work.
I think they are doing it specifically to troll us. There is no way that they are not consciously doing it, because it's the wrong way 100 percent of the time. And unless cleaning ladies somehow think this is the most efficient way, then they know it is not, and are doing it on purpose.

Hotel maids always put the rolls under as well. At least at every hotel I've ever stayed at, even fancy ones. They really are trolling us.

Hotels I've been to they always put it over and fold the end of the loose square.
