Just wondering, but how many texts per month do most people make/receive?
I think my average is around 9 or 10. I don't exactly lie on my stomach in bed with my little feet kicking in the air behind me wasting time texting about irrelevant bullshit 24 hours a day. If I need to contact someone, I call them. If I can't reach them, I'll leave a voicemail. End of story. Am I just oldschool, or is there some deep and hidden world I don't know about? As far as Facebook responses or whatever, I couldn't give less of a shit. I don't think I've ever even had a notable conversation on it, except for a few particular people, with whom my conversations actually have a point. I don't IM really, either. I used to when I was about 16. Plus when I was in Iraq and my then-fiance wanted to chat. Tried it several times since then.. and it's utterly boring. I don't want to sound like a dick... but seriously... I don't get it. |

Actually a lot of the time it is. If I say "oh" in reply to someone it means I'm disappointed/pissed off at their last text.

What if they don't know? Then you've wasted a text, and they'll still be douchebags! |

DJ it's called being passive-aggressive, women tend to do this. You can't change all of us. As sexist as you try to be.

I'm not trying to change anyone and being passive aggressive isn't only something women do. and I'm the one being sexist? hmmm
passive aggressive people in general piss me off. Just say what you have to say, I'm not a mind reader. My last male roommate was the same way and then just out of the blue he would blow up at me for random **** that happened months ago. Why didn't you just say the **** was bothering you back then instead of holding it so long to the point where you feel the need to blow up.

Because that is the way some people work. It's their coping mechanism. Sometimes things aren't worth going crazy at someone for. You have to pick your fights in life.

I know that because I used to be that way in the past. I would let alot of things slide and then it would just go up in smokes one day.

I guess that makes sense. Doesn't really relate to my life though, and I guess that's where the difference lies. Personally, I'd never text people in the middle of a business meeting.. And I always have plenty to do (although I like to avoid it wherever possible)... and if I'm down to passing time solely on my phone, then I much rather sources made available by it, than idle chat with a friend that will accomplish absolutely nothing. In my life, my friends have shit to do, and I have shit to do. It's mutual. I guess, because this is true, that the opposite of it must be also.
