I don't think so. The guys that have issues with taller girls seem to be in the minority. The only time when it's weird or whatever is when the taller girl makes a big issue out of it and shun short guys.

pulling power.

I want to use that terminology in the future.

I probably wouldn't date a guy shorter then me (i'm 5'3) because as a woman, I want to feel small and petite next to my man but that being said, anywhere between 5'3 and 6'3+ is good for me. I would never rule out someone initially because of their height though, there would have to be contributing factors.

I am a walking cliche when this arises. I am 5' 6" and have never gone out with anyone taller than me and probably never will. Yes it would give me a complex. Is it justified? Of course it isn't but I can't change that after all this time.

Race, body size, interests, personality, beliefs etc I can work around and these aspects don't bother me but someone taller than myself? Just couldn't do it.

I certainly don't suffer from 'Napoleon Complex' and many of my friends have said so too but being a little shorter than the average male does make you feel a little inferior (however trivial it seems to an outsider) so to balance that I do feel attracted to people equal or shorter than myself.

I've gotta disagree with dj, I think men do have issues when it comes to being with women who are taller than them. I would say it is at least as common as women who have issues with the very same thing.

I would say that, for the most part, men either want or feel they need to be taller than their girl.

I'm not short, but I'm not tall either. I'm about 5'9". Most of the time, girls tend to be shorter than me, but of course it isn't uncommon for me to find girls who are taller than me. One or two inches difference isn't much of a problem, because it doesn't feel like TOO much of a gap. Any taller than that and it may just be too much, I'm afraid.

I don't have anything against a tall girl, and I wouldn't write someone off just because of their height. However, I just feel that if the gap is too big, then it may just not work.

some men do and some men don't

Honestly, I don't have an issue with taller women at all. They can be a good seven inches taller than me and I wouldn't mind/care.

The thing is though that taller women usually have no interest in short men and that's the reality of the situation.

I am 182 centimetres which is just some decimals under 6 feet. That's a pretty average height for a guy in Norway so I don't consider myself tall or short. However, I am like Lee in that I would have problems dating someone taller than me.

I should add that women taller than me are also giants

you don't find it appealing to climb a giant?

I do

Of course some do and some don't, but I feel that it's very common, for men to care about this same issue, just as women do.
