You first.

DoctorSoft 04-22-2011 11:06 PM

I always have a positive attitude, I am a very friendly and social person, i think I'm pretty funny, I am proud of the music i write, and I am non-judgemental.

Freebase Dali 04-22-2011 11:10 PM

I give a fuck, but I'm very good at convincing myself that I don't.

Aww fuck. I failed. I give a fuck. :(

Self delusion in an attempt to counteract a personal emotion about a particular situation! Nice!!!

I envy that.

Edit:
For me, if there IS a silver lining, I'll see it immediately. But if I actually have to search for it, chances are, it's not really there.

BTown 04-22-2011 11:21 PM

I may have not made an edit?

Or are you talking about something else?
I'll assume the latter.

Anyway, I don't think self delusion is really such a bad thing. I mean, if it makes you happy, it's really the only thing that matters. The only problem that can possibly arise from it is that the delusion doesn't jive with someone else's delusion. We're all deluded. It's as simple as that. We can either live for our own delusions and love them, or compare ours to someone else's and hate them. Having the same delusions as everyone else only means you're more functional in regard to it. But if you don't care about that, as long as you're in an environment that doesn't require some kind of semblance of unification, then you're free to think the way you want. The only flack you'd get from doing otherwise would either be legal, or societal. That's it.

I say, find those silver linings. I really do envy that. I'm a horrid cynic.

BTown 04-22-2011 11:32 PM

sorry due I zoned when i typed that
I think a valid silver lining for a lot of things is that you'll just learn and become a better person.

Whatever you think is better, is better.

Scarlett O'Hara 04-23-2011 02:00 AM

I like the ability for me to charm and be charismatic with others. I like my imagination.

Haha. I give a **** too. About everything really.
But that's not just a good thing. It can be annoying as hell..

Let's see... I care a lot about justice. I just can't stand people being treated unfair. I do have a lot of friends so I guess I am a nice person to hang out with.
I love animals. I know how to make people feel comfortable. I am a rather brilliant driver. Something like that.

Howard the Duck 04-23-2011 05:43 AM

I was going to say something similar but I'm going to build on that.

I like that I'm able to have fun in any situation no matter where I am because of my imagination.

I can be in a group of people or just walking alone by myself. I seldom find myself bored.

Scarlett O'Hara 04-23-2011 10:12 PM

Sometimes the best times for me is when I'm alone. Particularly in nature.

Sparky 04-23-2011 11:39 PM

Sansa Stark 04-23-2011 11:40 PM

Everything.

I like how honest I am.

This is what I hate most about myself. It comes in quickly but I grow the patchiest beard ever.

Other than that, there's alot I like. Mainly my ability to read people though.

Read people as in body language or what?

explain that a bit.

Dayvan Cowboy 04-24-2011 06:12 AM

I might seem quite pessimistic, but I'm actually extremely optimistic. I just don't show it. That optimism and that edge of uncertainty is what gets me across day by day.

I also like how I'm knowledgeable in quantum physics and other cool scientific things. I was obsessed with science when I was little, so now that I have this boatload of knowledge somebody my age might not have, I get to use it and it's actually helping quite a bit.

And as much as I'll complain about it, I actually think it's cool to say "oh yeah, I'm a legal dwarf."

downwardspiral 04-24-2011 06:30 AM

I sometimes like my hair. Well I don't, I just like that I have curly hair.

[MERIT] 04-24-2011 06:37 AM

I like that I am uncircumcised. It's nice to know that doctors weren't hacking away at my naughty bits from the get-go.

Howard the Duck 04-24-2011 06:55 AM

i like the fact that women are attracted to me and that I'm not a repulsive ogre

captaincaptain 04-24-2011 10:21 AM

I like that I don't let things bother me.

If you insist

I love my little hands and feet
my hourglass figure
My curiosity
my compassion
my persistence
my large eyes
my full lips
my tiny teeth
my tiny ears
my eidetic memory
my super long eyelashes
my pale and infinitely clear skin
my ridiculous tattoos
my long, resilient hair
my perfectionism
my optimism
my patience
the fact I don't give a **** what other people think about the aforementioned things, or anything else about me.

etc etc

I pretty much just love myself.

ThePhanastasio 04-24-2011 11:32 AM

I love my creativity, and the strange way my mind works in general. Whenever I'm alone I'm never bored, so long as I can just think. In spite of being like a lot of people and thinking life would be easier if I were even better looking, I still love the fact that I'm NOT child-frighteningly ugly and can get by.

Sort of, or just how people say stuff. I can always tell if someone's lying or making something up. Plus, I'm amazing at poker.

CanwllCorfe 04-24-2011 11:35 AM

I like that I'm so in tune with my surroundings, and that I can pick up on the subtleties that everyone else seems to completely ignore.

I like that I'm creative, and can actually get a career doing something I love.

I like that I'm not boring, and that I'm very much myself.

I like that I'm open minded, and can see both sides of anything.

I like that I'm not an asshole.

Dayvan Cowboy 04-24-2011 11:52 AM

I like my little na'vi alien nose. I also like my computer skills and my ability to fix things macguyver style.

DoctorSoft 04-24-2011 11:55 AM

I like my sexy bod, and my semi-goodlooking face.

so am I!

I'll destroy you at Texas Hold 'Em.

i'm pretty good with body language because sometimes I will go people watching

one of my favorite past times.

I also recently got into studying people's facial movements to tell if they are lying or what emotion they are trying to hide.

This is pretty much me as well except that I can sometimes be an asshole. I know it.

EvilChuck 04-24-2011 01:04 PM

I love how emotional I am. I dont really feel things in small doses, I feel them strongly. While thats a bit shíte for things that make me sad, the feeling of happiness I get when I am happy is incredible.

I also love my ability to laugh at myself. I know I do stupid things sometimes, and if I notice them or someone points them out I will laugh, because regardless of the fact that its me involved, if its funny I'll laugh.

I like my sense of style as well, I think I dress reasonably well anyway, and I have a good idea of what colours match with each other to make what I choose to wear look good.

djchameleon 04-24-2011 01:07 PM

I love that I wear my heart on my sleeve.

It usually doesn't work out well for me though because some females can't handle my passion. They aren't used to someone like me.

I wouldn't change it for the world though. I used to be so closed in about my feelings and played the back field for a long time but I changed.
