Ian was out of the band at that point, though he did return as a guest on Red and played alto sax on a couple of tracks.

That sucks, I love The Wipers.

And yes I found out about them because of Nirvana like every other poser, how dare I not know about underground bands from the day I was born.

I remember him getting Covid last year and was slipping in and out of a coma.
They didn’t think he would make it. Wonder if this is related.
