I'm sorry you had that experience at such a young age, OH. Physical or emotional cruelty to children is the very worst imo.

Today, Argentinian cartoonist Joaquin Lavado died at age 88 "como consecuencia de un accidente cerebrovascular". He's better known as "Quino", creator of a strip cartoon called Mafalda. In Latin America Mafalda has the same status as Peanuts does in the US:

....
Small boy: That's unusual for you, Mafalda! Are you playing dolls?
Mafalda: Well, yes...Sometimes it's a good idea to take your instincts out for a little stroll.

If the drawing style looks familiar, it may be because my avatar is how Quino once drew himself: squeezed into a box that he himself is drawing.

Damn. The guy who drew your avatar died? RIP.

And gosh thanks for the kind words.

That song means a lot to a lot of people both women and men and and anywhere on that spectrum. Some people tried to make it into a joke but that song ain’t no joke. That song changed lives.

I'll look more into this comic strip, but it looks a bit like a rip-off of Ernie Bushmiller's work.

I've always wondered about your av, Lisna. Thanks for that, and RIP Joaquin Lavado.

Just found out about Sansa. RIP to the queen of MB. Those plug sessions were outrageous.

Well you're not dead at least. Now we just need DWV to check in.
