Lynch stuck with a style and I appreciate that. He makes "Lynch" films and I like those kind of movin' peechers.

RIP. First BEB, then Tri Angle. Two very important labels in shaping my taste in music. I need another label like this in terms of pushing different, but really good bass heavy stuff that I normally wouldn't listen to. Oh yeah, for those don't keep an eye on the Blackest Ever Black social media pages, a few months ago they closed up shop super quietly after not releasing much the past couple of years.

One of these days I’m going to put you in charge of what I listen to for a couple weeks.

Richie Cole

Not a big fan of his playing,
but I'm happy that he brought some
well-needed attention back to Eddie Jefferson.

The video below has the two of them performing at
the Jazz Showcase in Chicago 41 years ago this week.
Two nights later, Jefferson and Cole walked out of
Baker's Keyboard Lounge in Detroit after a gig.
Jefferson was shot and killed instantly.

Glad I got to see The Stranglers perform live at least once, back in the day.
