I don't really see what's wrong with what mordwyr posted. It's not like he just spammed links of the tragedy. He asked questions, or made statements to accompany them and I think outside of the religion thread there's no need to drag religion into it.

When the entire Internet is going crazy over a tragedy that has happened hundreds of times, it is annoying. People think sharing the story over and over is actually helpful, but it's not. It doesn't raise awareness about anything when the only outcome is the killer gets his name plastered all over the news.

I agree but at the end of the day he was posting it in appropriate threads. I don't see any harm for sharing a story (that yes, we probably will forget about a few months from now) on a message board where as far as I'm aware, it hadn't been shared yet.
