I've never met an "only punk" fan for real

maybe if someone got too into hardcore?

usually punk opens people up to later enjoying avant, noise, electronic, funk...even ironically disco

for example liking the Clash will lead right into liking some dub

people who get too into metal risk ruining their ears ala that Manifest666 guy on this board
Nah apart from that one metal loser here I've never met an Only Metal fan either. Any genre opens up to other genres, whether or not you take that route depends on those characteristics I mentioned, like curiosity. Thinking punk is some special bridge to more difficult music is your tunnel vision.

People who won't go farther into music (because they're not curious for example) only take the music that's thrown in their way. Metal and hip hop are far more popular genres than punk nowadays, so in total you probably won't find as many metal and hip hop listeners crossing over into experimental stuff, but that's correlation instead of causation. It's not those genres ruining their palate; it's them sticking to popular music and the rules of fashion which dictate what that music is. Anyone weird enough to get into proper punk in 2021 already has the mindset to explore further.

Yeah I was drunk tbh and being unclear

I was referring to when you were making comments about how "the type of white people who support blm are the same type to be likely to scoff at hip hop."

Which may or may not be true I just thought it's funny that you specifically said this about white people who support blm... I wonder how likely black people who support blm are to have the same dismissive attitude towards one of the predominant forms of black culture in america? Just food for thought.

White people love hip hop. Elph's imaginary friends don't matter.

At least, they imagine they are.
Is it funny that elph is also a fantasy/imaginary creature?

Shut up, bitch. You were making up people to be your friends.

Just as capable =/ just as likely

You rejecting your parents ideals and going the punk rock route is actually incredibly typical
