[QUOTE=Trollheart;2170475]Yeah I know. Seems you have to be a homophobe rapper to get any interest from people when you shuffle off TMC. I'll miss him anyway. Fantastic talent. Horrible to have to live 17 years with a stroke though; maybe it was a blessed release in the end.[/QUOTE/]
not looking for a gasp or any comments at all.. but I had periods of sheer hell through illness's and only since last July have I been functioning again, as I had serious immune issues, big time...Now I am fit and healthy so appreciate how bad life can be when your not right....I really believed my end was there...something turned around and forever so so thankful....Now I am the happiest but most temperamental person on this earth...I do get sad at others, that could not be healed... |

Yeah. You don't have to be a homophobic rapper you just have to be even remotely famous. If you wanna pay your condolences then do so instead of lecturing us for not mourning someone we've never heard of pal. And why drag DMX into it again? The **** did DMX ever do to jim whatshisface???

I reckon had adi not gone on his rant there would have been a post or two about BMX sorry DMX and that would have been it. My point being that unless you're ****ing HUGE like Prince or Bowie, you need to have done or been accused of having done something controversial for people to take notice. Rostasi posts eulogies to people here all the time whom I don't know - mostly jazz guys I guess - and nobody acknowledges them, or very seldom anyway. I just feel for a talent like Steinman to pass and nobody know or care, but a rapper who I didn't know (and why would I? I know sod-all about the hip of the hop) to get so much coverage annoys me a little. Probably would not have had it not been for Batty's sarcasm, which really was uncalled for, but that's Batty for you. Say hello to the Fake OH for us next time you're in work by the way.

DMX was bigger for our generation than Prince or Bowie. When it came out I couldn't go a day in middle school without hearing kids reciting "Ruff Riders Anthem".

the fact you can't appreciate an artist like dmx is somewhat disappointing given your gloomy/goth aesthetic. He's actually the perfect rapper for someone with a bleak outlook on life. Too bad you're too white to like hip hop.

Suburban white people are the largest market for everything.
Danny brown is good but he's the kind of rapper that is typical for a white boy rock fan who doesn't like rap. The fact that you can't appreciate rappers like DMX or Prodigy makes you seem way less punk rock to me tbh |
