To be brutally honest it was expected. What was he? 95? And ill into the bargain. Was going to happen, more a case of when rather than if. Cue lots of shots of crying South Africans on the TV. Say what you like about them, they loved their Madiba and this will be like one of their own family dying. Can't day I'd feel the same if the Irish president died, or Obama.
Rest in Peace Madiba. You were certainly an icon of hope and a beacon for the future, and all we can hope now is that others follow your example and continue to strive for peace in South Africa, and across the world.
