Yeah, it's a swirl of conflicting info out there. Apparently, DeJohnette had it
posted on his Facebook page and Annette had stated his death as well, then DeJohnette removed it and Annette rescinded her acknowledgement of it. But this site about hoaxes looks hokey in and of itself while a French news site that I saw it mentioned on has now removed it, but now I see it on an Argentinian news site, so it's kind of all in a holding pattern. I mean, the guy isn't a hermit without a phone or contacts, so I don't know what's up. Just have to wait and see. |

Well, I have to guess that Peacock is alive and well since Wikipedia also
removed the death notice from his listing sometime in the last 12 hours. Still, it has given me a chance to revisit his playing on various albums. Very weird that he was chosen to be a part of this weird hoax - twice! |
