Allen Lanier (June 25, 1946 – August 14, 2013) one of the original members of Blue Oyster Cult. He played Keyboards and occasional rhythm guitar with the band, and also contributed to music by Jim Carroll, Patti Smith, The Dictators and The Clash, among others.

Just heard the news on TV. That sucks. I thought his keyboards gave a special air to some of the bands' songs, mostly 1980's material.
