A stroke, lung cancer, and not one but two brain tumors. Any of those seems horrible but all together seems about as horrific as it gets.

Those first three albums by The Beat are probably my all-time top three favorite ska/2-tone albums. Top-notch classics, each one.

Transmuseq was fantastic - as were a lot of the other projects he was involved in.
Got to see him with LaDonna Smith a couple of times back in the 80s.
I'd bring out some of the LPs if I hadn't just boxed them up and sent them away.
