RIP Ray Manzarek

Ray Manzarek, founding member of The Doors, dies at 74 | CTV News


This has been confusing, first it was said to be a hoax, and then that was a hoax... but he is dead.

Love em or hate em, The Doors really brought something new to music. And Manzarek was a huge part of that. Maybe he can get a band going with Jeff Hanneman.

I'm sure he's up in heaven right now fingering god's organ.

But seriously, this is a big loss. He's definitely a talented guy, probably my favorite thing about The Doors. :(

I'll always remember him doing this.
Always come across as a nice guy.

Sad news, indeed. I saw a report of his death, then a report that it was a hoax, and now it appears he is, in fact, dead.
I was hoping the three surviving members might patch up their differences while there was still time and reunite for some shows before it was too late.
At least I got to see Ray & Robby a couple of times in 2011 & 2012.
One of my all-time favorite keyboard players in one of my all-time favorite bands.

Um, no. More like RIP to the 51 who lost their lives in the freak storm. . .

Yeah, that's a drag too. I can't even imagine the devastation there. Nature is scary.
