Ralphie May died of complications from pneumonia. I'm sure something else contributed to his death as well. it's weird too cause i found out today, it's not really getting all that much coverage.

But yeah, RIP. he was kinda funny I guess.

Kinda funny? You guess? Dude was a riot. And you're late with this one.

RIP Sean Hughes, one of Ireland's real comedy talents. :(

John F. Dunsworth Dead: ‘Jim Lahey’ From TV’s ‘Trailer Park Boys’ Passes Away At 71 – Hollywood Life

RIP. Could never tell if he was acting or actually that drunk or both.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 10-16-2017 07:31 PM

wow. weirdest coincidence. my father just sent me a picture of him with Cyrus, had him as a cab driver tonight. apparently he didn't make much of himself outside of the show.

RIP Jim, the show won't ever be the same.

Goofle 10-16-2017 07:56 PM

Genuinely saddened by this news. Didn't realise he was that old.

Jim Lahey is by far my favourite character in any sitcom I have watched over the past 10 years or so. Phenomenal performances, and oozing with personality.

RIP.

i'm not sure he was acting. that's just a good example of how about 33% of the population act here. he was a true Nova Scotian through and through. he came to a local metal fest a few years back with Randy and they both got totally **** faced and ran around with the bands on stage. they just ****ing loved performing. never had the pleasure of talking to him, but i've met a few guys from the show and they came off exactly how you would expect, normal dudes happy that their ****ty little project turned into a tv hit.

He was acting, John didn't drink in real life, infact in interviews he even talked about how he was against drinking, and didn't like alcohol. It was all an act he did.

Watch this interview, he talks about it here.
