Did ya know that before the show got campy it was actually pretty serious and scary? The first season was really dark. Then they went for comedy. Same goes for Lost in Space.

Apparently the producer or something didn't like comics, so before the show even aired it was camped up. Before there was supposedly talk of Clint Eastwood playing Two-Face.

I vividly remember the first couple of episodes when they first aired. Very dark ****. The scene that sticks out is Batman about to be be dumped into an incinerator. There was absolutely no camp or comedy involved back then. They weren't even using the BAM, SMASH, SOCK, etc. exclamations during fights at that point.

The best part about those scenes was the cameos by famous actors sticking their heads out a window to say something to B&R.
