Eddie Van Halen famously named Holdsworth as his favorite guitarist. |

He may have mainstream tastes overall but that doesn't mean there's nothing to learn from. If he understands this guy's music better than I do (and he does) I should at least take some time to learn something. Even if I ultimately conclude this level of praise is unwarranted I should at least understand why Chula thinks so highly of him.
Some classical music snob might hate the avant garde but can still teach me why one string quartet is better than another. And maybe part of it did go over my head that's why I asked the questions I did.

Well I do like the guitar on this track. It's too bad everything else about it is so bland though.
This one is better overall though the guitar is less interesting than on the first one. |

This ain't about what "chula" thinks about Holdsworth. Use google for christ sakes.
Eddie Van Valen Joe Satriani Steve Vai Steve Lukather Dweezil Zappa Alex Lifeson Scott Henderson John McLaughlin Alex Machacheck Jimmy Page Steve Morse Al DiMeola Just to name a few.....

I guess Joanie passed away. I thought she was older than 59.
