Found out today that my best friend's Dad passed away from a heart attack over the weekend. I've known their family since I was nine years old. I talked to my friend on the phone earlier tonight, and it was hard to keep it together. I was at work at the time I found out.

A friend of mine recently went through something similar. It wasn't a heart attack but it was still rather sudden. I've also known their family for a long time, for my entire life actually.

It's not easy to keep it together or to have the first clue what to say or do.

it wasn't "doomed" from the start

it just a build-up and culmination of things

This is really sad, it's the end of any Bee Gee's concerts since he was the one left touring.
