Never said there weren't. But I don't think most would be a comedian just because it pays. If someone makes people laugh it's normally because they put something of themselves into what they are doing and can be good at it, that's why they can continue being a comedian. People go on stage because they like the limelight, it isn't exactly that steady a job for most with the income it gives. Of course some have had difficult times outside of their job, but that doesn't stop the fact that they are willing to make fun of themselves in public.

But it isn't my choice to do that, it isn't in my character. Others can take things that happen to them and make them funny. If they hated doing that they wouldn't be comedians very long. I'm not saying all men are comedians, simply that there appear to be more men who do it than women and that could indicate a difference at a lower level as well. Maybe men are expected by society to be humorous at times as well, whereas women aren't really.

See, they started out naive thinking that way. That they love to make people laugh so why not become a comedian but the industry is rough and they end up becoming very cold people in the process while making others laugh.
