Vinegar on a burn (especially sunburn) kills the pain and promotes healing.

Rice in the salt shaker keeps it from clumping up.

The best treatment for a cough is cough syrup.

The best remedy for a headache is Aleve or Tylenol.

A blanket will do the trick for some cold legs or feet.

A trip to the emergency room does wonders for a blunt force trauma to the head.

Also, when you have the hiccups, if you drink a glass of water through a straw while holding your nose, plugging your ears, holding your breath, and counting to 10, the hiccups will go away - worked for me everytime, and it's the only thing that works for me.
yeah I do something similar to that for hiccups but I don't have to plug my ears.....I drink some water....suck in air and hold it for 30 seconds....if I don't burp rinse and repeat. If I do burp then that means hiccups is gone

putting a pinch of salt into any chocolate-based recipies, like cakes, cupcakes or even ice cream can actually bring out the taste of the chocolate even more.

My mom always told me that I could drown in an inch of water. I call bullsh*t.

there is this old wives tale that if there are ghosts in your presence you should curse them out and bang pots

that's if you believe in ghosts in the first place

a day before an exam, you should put a book under your pillow while you sleep. this makes you smart and learn the book's contents overnight, just thru sleeping on it. and they say it will guarantee you a perfect score in your tests.

my pastor said I should put the Bible under my pillow to be more godly

it only made me dream weird dreams of Jesus (Jesus was an eight-legged ant, Lucifer disguising himself as a light from above, mimicking Jesus' voice)

and my head was more often than not, sore the next day

that's only applicable when you're enrolled in a Catholic school and you're having bible exam the day after.
