Do you think intimacy is a problem these days?
What do you think?
I believe it's true to a certain degree... http://headville.net/2011/03/10/hmm-1/ |
Fixed your link for you. You can't link to any other site except for youtube by using the [ youtube ] tags. :)
Can't say I really understand the point of the video though, I must admit. |
I have no idea what that video was but I think that's an interesting question. I'd say with technology blowing up it can be a problem in some cases. I mean with so much communication being through text these days some people rarely have face to face discussions. Also I think some people, including myself, sometimes use technology to avoid having to interact with people in either a social situation or just walking down the street. I mean I always have my ipod in when I'm in public and this definitely makes me avoid talking to people. Also, I think some people are less likely to talk to people they may not know that well because they can just be texting/IMing their friends on their phone rather than starting up a face to face conversation with someone they might not know as well.

I am scared of using a telephone to call strangers.
So I don't think I abuse technology not to see people. I'd say quite the opposite, I got to know almost all of my friends via the internet somehow :D. |
don't you think technology has abstracted us from human contact
|
It definitely hasn't for me :).
But it's the same with downloading for me. Yes you can download INSTEAD of buying albums. I download to discover albums an then I buy the albums I really like. Which is quite a lot (link below name, all vinyl and original CD's). Same goes for people, I get to know them via the internet, only to get to know them in real life at some point. |
I laughed at that video.

I am having intimacy problems. It's because I got my wisdom teeth pulled last Friday, and the girl I'm dating has a bad cold.
|
Being ill together can be very nice :)
