I think I have bronchitis. I have been putting off the doctor for a month. I am finally going to go this week...

I went to the doctor last Wednesday for a check-up and I had to give blood (from the usual spot at the crevice of the elbow). It has always been an issue for any doctor to find the vein in my arm, and they almost always have to try both arms and jab away at both of them before they find it.
Anyways, I didn't have to wait long for this one; right when the needle went in I felt a very intense burning pain run right up my forearm to my wrist, and it went numb. I told him about it immediately, so he stopped and I didn't end up giving any blood after all. The initial pain lasted a while, and only subsided partially when I was still in the doctor's office. He said the pain and numbness would die down soon. The numbness subsided somewhat within the next few hours, but the pain stayed. It isn't as intense as it was when the needle went in, but if I extend my arm or hold it in a certain way, I feel the same shooting pains going up my forearm. My forearm also itches at times but there doesn't seem to be any swelling (if there is, it is a very small amount), and there is no visible sign that anything is wrong (no cuts, redness, or bruises). Looking it up on the internet, I'm 99% sure it was nerve damage, but I'm probably going to go in to a clinic to see what can be done, along with seeing how severe it is. The needle was taken in my right arm (my writing arm, along with my strong arm in general), so it's going to be pretty annoying while the pain and irritation lasts (which could be up to 8 months if the stuff I've read on the internet is true). I already dreaded giving blood because of the hassle I go through every time for them to find my vein, so it'll be interesting to see how much of a pussy I'll act like when they give me a needle the next time. |

I need a bit of clarification.
Yesterday while I was in bed, my physical movement of my hands weren't controlled by my will. They weren't shaky or paralysed, they just moved on a whim. My hands were flipped out, out of nowhere (up to the side and around). Was it some kind of nerve disorder? I got out of bed and suddenly I felt a severe rush of cold through the body and eventually my legs gave out and landed on the side of the bath tub, then in a wonky move the rest of my body was flipping out of no where. Dodged from side to side. I wasn't able to go to the doctor today because of how shot my body was so I just woke up now. I can't go until Monday obviously because the medical centre is not open. Is it a severe concern that I should go to the hospital? I was going to call them yesterday but I couldn't reach the phone, slumped on the bed and passed. I'm kinda worried about developing another disorder, it did happen again a few times this morning. Still a little physically shaky but I'm ok for now.

My uncle has back problems, he bought a tipping table that you strap yourself in and tilt at an angle that'll releve pressure on your back joints.
But, he has a seriously bad back because his joints are real bad. If it doesn't happen to you constantly then try a pad that you put in a microwave and warns your back. Give it a try, let me know if you try the table out or whatever... |

So I came back from the hospital. They couldn't find anything wrong physically. So relieved about that. They told me if it happens again I should go back for further testing. They think it was a bad reaction from the meds I'm taking so they told me to go to my GP as soon as possible in regards (he's in charge of my meds). Hopefully it doesn't happen again and it's a one off thing.

ya know, talking about bad reactions, when they first put me on a anti-psychotic (Haliperidol), I cramped up and couldn't move at all
they had to give me oral Procyclidine to get rid of it |
