Are you a fan of V-day or could you care less? Sad that your alone on V-day? Could be worse..you could have to spend it with someone other than your favorite alcoholic beverage. Or maybe it doent matter either way and its just another day..You can vent your frustrations here. Provided the mods dont lock up this thread.

I'm alone this V-Day, just like last one. I don't understand people who bitch about it, I've got no beef with Valentine's Day. I'm not gettin laid but I take slight comfort knowing I am not spending much money either.

Beers don't mind if I taste other beers. They don't bitch at me for leaving the toilet seat up. They don't expect me to cuddle and they watch sports and action movies with me and don't say a word.

When I didn't have a girlfriend, V-Day didn't bother me. I never complained about it.

Now that I have a girlfriend, V-Day doesn't bother me. I still don't complain about it.

I've went through the whole angst of being anti-valentines day and claiming that it was a stupid corporate holiday and other years I have celebrated it by spending money on some random girl that I don't ever have a chance with.

This year if I had money I would spend it on myself because I sure as hell love myself and if I don't then who the hell will?

Lol..excellent response man. I dreaded it last year but came out ahead. Ultimatley she spent a considerable amount if you total in the dinner I managed to get out of springing for. Tack on the cost of a Gibson acoustic and in return I left a really nice heart...Shaped out of beer cans on the coffee table and drifted into drunken dreams on the couch. After an exuasted evening of NFL network highlights of the year episodes. It was greeeeeeeaat! Ive touched on this topic briefly here and there..still its in my most memorable drunken episodes bin.(guitar was a week later but intended for that day as a gift)

I'm a girl and in a relationship and I'm apathetic about Valentine's Day. I don't need a whole lot of money to be spent on me in order to be happy. It's nice just to sit at home and watch movies.

I used to fall into the trap of worrying about my love life on St. Valentine`s Day, but here in Mexico, the whole "Am-I-in-a-relationship?" dilemma has been diffused by making Feb 14 a day of Love and Friendship.
At a stroke they`ve made it much more inclusive, because you don`t have to be some smug lover to join in; instead, children of all ages exchange candies at school, and it`s an excuse to hug your workmates too.

In that spirit, I`d like to wish you all a happy day. Don`t forget that if nobody out there actually loves you at the moment, plenty of people like you - or in the worst case they presumably tolerate you, which is a start !
