Gah, so much hate on valentines day. "It's a day for love", "No, it's a day for capitalism." You know what valentines day is to me? A monday. Next year a tuesday. Year after that? A thursday!

That's what I used to think.
But I've changed my mind. You can let it be a day for capitalizm, but you can also see it as a reason to give your loved one some extra attention.
Whenever my girlfriend (she's my ex now but **** that) feels sad, I see that as a reason to send her a bar of chocolate via e-mail. Whenever I see her, which is only once a month or so, I see that as a reason to make or buy a CD for her.
Same goes for valentines day. Obviously not everyone treats their ex the way I do, but when you have a girlfriend, just use this day as a reason to give her something extra. Do it for the two of you, not because it's valentines day, bus just because you want to make her feel good.
